Japanese Art Festival

We have removed a large number of non-paying members from the registration list, which means that AmeCon now has a small number of places available!

We recommend booking these spaces as soon as possible to reserve your place, however please remember that your place is not guaranteed until payment is received. As a reminder, we recommend Google Checkout as the quickest way of paying for your membership online. Maestro cardholders who can not use Google can contact registrations@amecon.org to pay, and you can also pay by cheque following the instructions when you process your membership cart through to payment. Please remember to write your order number on the back of your cheque to avoid delay in matching your cheque to your membership.

If you are one of the people who has been removed from the list for non-payment, you will need to register again to attend AmeCon. Additionally if you have registered but not yet paid, please do so sooner rather than later to avoid your place being allocated to someone else.

Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you all in August ^^

We have begun sending out payment reminders to all members who have not yet paid for their memberships after registering their badgenames. With a waiting list already forming, we are now starting the process of removing non-paying members from the list as and when their individual payment window expires. As a reminder, payment is expected to reach us either online or by cheque in the post within 14 days. If you have opted to pay by cheque, please post your cheque sooner rather than later to allow a few days for postal delivery. Any cheque received after a payment window has expired will not be cashed.

Payment reminders will now be sent out weekly to all unpaid members.  Non-payment of a membership will result in that member being removed from our system and your place will be offered to the next person on the waiting list.

If you have sent us a cheque and want to know if it has arrived, please check your status on the members page. If we have received your cheque, you will be in the section titled 'Payment Received - Awaiting Clearance' and you will not receive payment reminders.  This table is updated several times a week and so is a good indication of the status of your cheque payment.

Any further questions or assistance, please contact registrations@amecon.org

As you know, AmeCon 2010 will be opening it’s doors for registration this evening.

However, Google Checkout has recently caused issues with a number of our attendees wishing to pay by Maestro cards, which are no longer accepted by Google Checkout. As a result of the demand for Maestro payments to be accepted by AmeCon, we are looking into an alternate form of online payment. We expect this to be up and running within the next few days.

Rather than delay registrations, we have decided to allow people the peace of mind being able to secure their place this evening as planned, but to delay taking online payment until the new system is in place. Attendees wishing to pay online will be given extra time to make their payment.

Attendees wishing to pay by cheque will not be affected, you will be presented with the information you need to send a cheque at the end of your registration.

18+ onlyAmeCon 2010 sees a change to our previous minimum age policy. This year, all of our attendees are required to be at least 18 years of age by 13th August 2010.

There are a number of reasons why this change has had to be made, including new government legislation which currently makes it impossible for us to comply with to allow registrations under the 18 age limit. However, anyone who was 16 at the last Amecon should be 18 by the time of AmeCon 2010.

Apologies to all those who are 16 or 17 this year, however we'll surely see you in future years.
